Alun is a founding investor and director of Bladeworks Post Production facilities, a leading player in high end end post facilities in South Africa , and a shareholder and director of the Waterfront Film Studios based at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. Alun Richards established Cut & Paste Generation in 1994/95, which quickly grew to be one of South Africa’s most respected, awarded and highly sought after music composition and audio post production facilities.
He is one of South Africa's most prolific score writers having composed in excess of 6000 TV commercials to date Alun has composed for several Feature Films including, Number 10 (2005), Dollars & White Pipes (2006), Lullabye (2007) and Discreet (2009). Alun has just been nominated for best feature film Sound Design at the 2014 SAFTA's for both 'Of Good Report' and 'Sleepers Wake'. Latest film scores include 'The Message' TV pilot and '204 Getting Away With Murder', the Brett Kebble documentary.
